Rather than offer a Montepulciano that is overwrought with color, structure, and alcohol, Ca’Liptra prefers to reflect their cool microclimate with a lighter, thirst-quenching wine that can be drunk in all seasons. Some sour cherry and cranberry come through the nose, tactfully balanced acidity on the palate with bramble and red currant. Deftly delicate and delicious.
