Kellerei Bozen

Cantina Bolzano, whose history begins in 1908, is today one of the most important wineries in Alto Adige and one of Italy’s trailblazers in terms of quality and originality.

Architectural marvel

Kellerei Bozen’s signature design feature is a majestic vine-leafed cube that shines within the hillside, illuminated by evening light. It artistically symbolizes Kellerei Bozen as a pioneering leader in viticulture innovation and green cultivation. It is a visual celebration of all that wine can be - stylish, dynamic, fascinating. However, this isn’t a case of style over substance. The metallic sheathing’s purpose isn’t only decorative, but acts as a support to the winery’s eco-friendly ethos by filtering sunlight naturally.

Nature’s gifts must be employed with respect and understanding.

The Cantina Bolzano winegrowers have a strong focus on near-natural methods and sustainably managed vineyards. They are committed to treating the soils and vines with the greatest care, living by the motto ‘do it with passion and you will do it well.’ Not only do the winegrowers labor rigorously to harvest the best quality grapes, but they employ green cultivation techniques whenever possible to care for the vine, fruit and soil.

Bolzano -  “Venice may swim on water, but Bolzano swims on wine.”

Hilly or mountainous region, Alto Adige’s climate differs dramatically between day and night. This contrast produces dynamic grapes with varied and complex aromas, while keeping them elegant and refined in a way that is hard to find in other Italian wines.

Their vineyards are located both on the slopes and at the bottom of the valley adding a diversity of soil. It is here they cultivate 15 different grape varieties, which are used to make truly original wines alive with regional character.

Pinot Nero - Pinot Noir

Pinot Nero, originates from Burgundy and has been cultivated in Alto Adige for more than a century.
